NMAT – Exam Pattern, Syllabus & Important Facts

NMAT is an exam primarily for admission to the MBA program of NMIMS offered at five campuses; Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore & Navi Mumbai. The flagship campus of NMIMS is Mumbai. There are 1800 seats across all these campuses out of which at least 30% will be offered to female candidates. Some other good institutes like XIMB, KJ Somaiya, TAPMI also accept NMAT scores.

NMAT Pattern

NOTE

  • The test taker can decide on the sequence in which the sections will appear during the exam
  • No online calculator. So, prepare for speed calculations
  • No negative marking.
  • Cannot skip questions. Cannot revisit a question
  • NMIMS accepts the score of only the first attempt though a test taker can take NMAT up to a maximum of three times (first attempt + two retakes)
  • Candidates have the option to take the test either at the test centre with social distancing protocols or to take the online proctored exam from the comfort of their home.
